Company overview

Wavessence Technologies has been set up to bring in the market a breaking-down technology that addresses any fast processing computer needs for similarities search between digital signals.

Its main activities are software integration of the technology (SDK, programs …) and BtoB licensing agreements with service providers and product manufacturers.

Its recognition solutions are used on 24/7 operations to cross sound recording databases of thousands hours with bouquets of TV channels and radio stations.

A « full content » audiovisual search engine

The contribution of this technology into the audiovisual scope now allows the design of products or services that are able to identify any kind of program content (jingle, music title, news, movie...) by the only use of few seconds audio extracts.

The goal is no more here to be able to recognise a content by the sole analysis of a program’s starting section or by the location of some of its characteristic portions (edit cuts, ..), but to achieve identification and precise positioning of any extract being used on broadcasting or as an edit part in another program.

This new way in processing is quite comparable to the evolution of Internet search engines portals that have moved in few years from a state of art of keyword based techniques to full-text analysing techniques for the indexing of Web pages.
